Hi guys, I have some good news from the dyno tuning at Church's today. I am scanning the prints and in short, the results are quite impressive.
Please note that the car used for testing is still using the OEM exhaust header. As a result, the power up top over 7800 RPM is limited due to this restriction.
The peaks gains made were 16 ft-lbs of torque and 22 hp. We believe the hp and torque would have kept climbing to redline if the header supported the increased flow.
Before: 255.2 ft-lb Torque 403.1 hp @ 8500 RPM
After: 271.3 ft-lb Torque 415.2 hp @ 8500 RPM
Huge thanks to Casterdog for letting me juice a few more ponies out of his beast.
**I don't have a sound-clip as of yet. A few people have heard the exhaust, but I am planning on making a recording in the next 48hrs. If there is anyone in the SoCal area who can assist me with this, I would appreciate it very much and there will be an incentive for you. I have already contacted DJ Qube (electronics genius), so we may even get this done by the evening.
A 70mm testpipe was used for both the baseline with the stock exhaust and the tune with this 3" dual. The only change made was the exhaust system to limit experimental variables for accurate test results.
Pushing over 400 whp through a stock catalyst is possible, but it would probably need more boost.
Sideways, I'll hopefully catch up with you soon so you can take another scoot around the block. The car before and after the tune is like night and day
