i think two pipes that are 2.5" flow more then one 3" pipe.

3" pipe has 7 square inches of area and two 2.5" pipes have 9.8 square inches of area <4.9 each>

True, but what if you run 2, 3" duals like I did..lol.

I built my own as well. Bought the mandrel pieces I needed, mig'd it up...bough the mufflers/resonator.

I don't have but a few hundred in it all.

I think it really depends more on the quality at the transfer from 3" to the 2 smaller dual outlets. In other words if the 2 outlets connecting to the 3" pipe are crappy in terms of ID" and how they connected/welded them, then you'll be restricted because of that...

The Asura Design 3" Dual exhaust is made from mandrel bent 304 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish.

Our system is 3" from the catalyst back and incorporates with the OEM flanges on the factory catalyst. The resonated mid-pipe transitions to two 2.5" pipes to each of the oval mufflers. Tip options are both round for the AP1/AP2 bumpers and hand shaped and finished oval tips for the AP2 bumper.

All gaskets and hardware are included. We also offer 3" High Flow Cats and 3" Resonated Test-pipes.

There is also a 70mm (2.75") dual system now available in addition to having 2 mid-pipe resonator options (63mm) 2.5" and 3".

I had my tuner cut off the flange on my Invidia duals, and V-band them so I could keep it with my turbo!

We can offer a 3" V-band flange welded where the cat flange would be.

Asura's got my vote. I don't have one, but from what I've read Asura makes one nasty exhaust.
