Default 3 inch exhaust setups

Hello all.

Im looking to build a new exhaust for my car, or possibly buy one taht is 3in and low db. I want to step up to a 3inch exhaust from my J's 70RS (currently trying to sell). Im interested in either dual or passenger single. My fabricator uses Vibrant components, but I was wondering what everyone else is using as far as resonators and mufflers.

I was thinking of running a vibrant ultra quiet resonator, split to twin 2.5 or 2.0in dual pipes to two additional HUGE mufflers in back. A pretty straight forward and basic exhaust system.

Vibrant ultra quiet resonator

Vibrant 2.5 inlet and outlet

Vibrant merge

I'm using a Vibrant ultra quiet resonator as well as a Vibrant 3" in/out muffler (single). Both seem very well made , the setup seems to flow well and allow for good power and the sound is great. No complaints here.

Will sound different cause your sc and he Is turbo.

That being said 3" with ultra quiet Reso and mufflers might be reasonable in the quiet dept.

When I was sc with 3" mid pipe with ultra quiet Reso to twin dual pass 2.5" mufflers it still had some drone.

Once I went turbo all good lol.

I'm going to subscribe because I'm interested in running 3in for my S/C setup but don't want the drone that will follow. Would like to get the quietest exhaust but comes alive once you get on it.

I thoughts Brians exhaust was tolerable with the top up, but he doesnt seem to think so.

true...Maybe we can work a deal for his haha.

I figure, if i buy the largest parts/best dampening parts, and in the end it still it too loud (which i doubt will happen), Ill at least know that's the most I can muffle the drone.

Ive been looking at a bunch of exhaust systems today. PTuning (no drone db ratings or in cabin videos anwhere), not a bad price with free shipping even. Challenge street 76mm will probably be too loud as there isn't much to the resonators/muffler. Inline pro, is out of the question, Ultimate Racing...NO.

Cant think of any other exhaust system...suggestions?

Check Dixon DMS 76mm I think it sounds good and you can customize the tips.
