4.57's with Supercharger Setup
With my list of mods below, do you think the 4.57's are a worth while mod? I have researched and found that they are great for NA and best mod for the $$$ but what about with supercharger setup? I wonder if it will make the same hugh difference with SC setup, as it does with NA? I would also go with the Comptech diff. Just wanted opinions before I decide to go that route.
I'm NA for now (not for long
) and let me tell you that my 4.57 gears equiped car beats a stock gears SC car from 0-60..so I don't see ANY reason why it would NOT help you on your SC car. It is a great mod, will help you to rech VTEC faster, stay in VTEC longer and the lower rpm acceleration will improve a lot...go 4 it

It all depends on what you want. The supercharger, AEM EMS and increased boost yields an engine that is built for top end. With 4.57s you will run out of top end quickly around 150-160. With the Factory ratio you can get much closer to 170.
There is so much power it is difficult to put it to the gound at low speeds. If you are not launching then the lower gears allow you to get to V-tec quicker but when you get there you must shift or spin badly. Going from 5000 rpm to 9000 rpm in a split second with the tires spinning is a great exhibition with the sound of the engine overwhelming the tires for just an instant. It doesn't get you anywhere but it does get the attention of bystanders.
If you are worried about the drivetrain then get the 4.57s and an 04-05 carrier. Have comptech tweek the carrier. This would be the strongest factory based setup.

.
IMO the 4.57s are probably the best ratio for FI. 4.44 being a little conservative and 4.77 will have you rowing like a carpenter. I've had the 4.57's while NA and boosted and they are awesome.
