Default 4" ASP Racing pulley on Vortech only making 8lbs of boost?

Anyone know why this would happen? I'm at the dyno right now and it's only reading 8lbs of boost. It's a vortech V2 blower, freshly rebuilt from vortech. Any help is appreciated...

Boost leaks and improper tenision of the belt are the first things to rule out. How many rpm are you reaching?

Don't have a front mount do you? If not then either belt slip or boost leak. I am running a 4" ASP pulley on my AP1. I have hit as high as 13 psi with it on a cold day.

We are only going to 8600 rpm. The number 4 coil pack is going out right now. It just raised to 10psi.

The boost will rise with the rpms, 8600 rpm is a little low. Run it up and see what it puts out.

So the number 4 coil keeps going out. It gets really hot and starts misfiring. Once it cools down its fine. Any ideas on whats going on???

Check your belt tension. If you are using a fresh new belt and have not retightened, I am certain it has stretched and you have lost some tension/traction. I have some spare coils if you need to borrow them.

It is misfiring badly. It fixes it when I switch out the coil but it goes bad after a few minutes.

So I'm understanding you correctly; your ignition system will start misfiring after putting in a known good coil? If so, check your wiring and connectors. I don't have my helms in front of me to look at the circuit diagram. It's at a friends and I'll have a look at it tomorrow and see if anything jumps out.

Yes, we switched out three coils on it so far. They are used coils but were in good working order prior to installation in my car. My S sounds like a wrx but smooths out as I accelerate.
