is 4 bars on temperature gauge safe?
I am running the vortech blower on stock boost with AEM ECU. I got the modifry AEM temperature gauge fixer installed and they calibrated it to the same as stock. I went out for a little burn and revved the car up around 6-7000RPM for a few minutes hard driving and the temperature gauge went up to 4bars. I have never seen it go above 3 even on track days when the car was stock, I read somewhere it should never go above 3 bars.
I did not drive it hard for long and its very cold here in UK right now. I knew it was going to run hotter but should I be concerned? I have a track day tommorrow.
Is it ok to run at 4 bars hot? what if it goes to 5 is it time to stop?
The car is running fine with enough oil, coolant etc.

Mine did this quite consistently when sitting at lights for more than a few seconds or on really warm days in heavy traffic. I called the guy at modifry and was assured this is normal (suppose to be more accurate/sensitive than the honda stock one), I have never had it go past four bars or overheat. I hope this helps

i think i recall 4 bars was around 235 degrees which is getting kinda hot, 5 bars is not normal-have your car checked out.i run 500+hp and never see above 210-215 on the hardest of runs and almost 4 hours on the dyno. stock radiator, tstat, fan switch

Just like the stock gauge, the Modifry version will light the 3rd bar for most normal driving conditions but you will see 4 bars if the ambient temperature is very high, you're in stop-n-go traffic, or you're on the track. That's nothing to be concerned with, you'll get used to it and may even be reassured knowing the gauge is actually giving you useable information for a change. Only very rarely will additional bars light up, and if they do you should be looking for a place to pull over and determine what the problem is.
