Default 400whp vs 500whp

400whp stock block vs 500whp 3mm HG both on pump gas.

Custom tubular mani, GT35R 0.63ar, 3" DP & exhaust.

How much faster would the car feel with an extra 100whp? Difference in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times (assuming perfect launch)?

I'm thinking if its worth doing the 3mm hg and retuning the car for the extra 100whp. Is it day and night difference? How many car lengths will a 500whp car pull over 400whp from rolling start?

Way to many variables.....Personally not a fan of 3mm gaskets. 500whp on stock gasket all day long...e85 tho

400hp dyno dynamic HP seems plenty fast, so first what dyno do you want that power on. I would start shooting for around the 400hp range and work your way up. The closer you get to 500hp the more stuff can break or the more you will need to change on your car. BUt pretty much if your car is set up to make 400hp... with race gas and some balls you should be able to make close to 500hp

From what i've seen from running many races with different s2k's at different power levels is 6-9mph in trap speed, which equates to about 2-4 cars on 2-3 gear pull.

well if your going to assume they are perfect drivers and perfect launches then its a clear cut case but its all about the driver, supporting mods such as tires, suspension, etc. ... Id personally go for 500whp if i was turbo'd with the 3mm HG and more boost.

traction becomes way more of an issue at 500HP, it is a big difference from 400 hp but a hell of a lot of fun.
