shouldnt it be rated by psi not HP?
No, the volume of air is the important thing here. A 50mm BOV can evacuate x cc´s of air faster than a 25mm.
Most BOV´s on the market will handle the pressure without breaking.

I like the Synapse as well but I think it´s to small for 500-800whp. Go Tial.

Is Synapse good for 500whp?

I made 433whp @ 14psi. But I wanna up the boost to 18psi....

And I just orderred a synapse to replace my tial.

IIRC the Synapse have a 25mm inlet and that´s pretty small (same as the plastic Bosch ones). Never tried it above 500bhp.

Here´s the hardcore stuff http://www.pure-pf.com/webshop/ppf_webshop...ex.php?cPath=23

hmm, can you explian why?

The Tial would flutter dump at partial throttle and no matter what spring I out in it, I couldn't stop it. It also wouldn't stay fully closed at medium throttle. The synapse with a boost source, stays closed at any throttle position if the turbo is making boost, but opens immediately when vacuum change at IM. Works beautifully with no issues and not an ounce of flutter or compressor surge. I plan to make 600-650 with my new alaniz head and re-tune. I am not worried about the synapse, nor is my tuner.

Better buy several springs lol, I remember when I had a Tial BOV on my Peakboost kit for my del sol it was a pain in the ass. Its completely dependent on how much boost you are running, and if you dont get the right spring specific to the psi your running, compressor surge is definately in order...

I like my HKS SSQV no adjustments, no springs, and 25psi here with no problems so far...

http://www.turbosmartonline.com/index.php?id=48

52mm BOV and comes with flanges and clamps. Ready to go out the box. comes equiped with 15inhg outer and 3inhg inner, so a total of 18inhg of spring. if you want less then just take out the 3inhg spring. No mess no need to buy multiple parts.

o'malley_808 - im on 18psi now and im planing on going higher as well maybe 25psi like you or higher. the c-clam on the hks ssqv is a bitch to deal with. But it does its job well.

EK9MAX - i have yet to seen one or hear synapse bov in person. Any different in change? hows much can they handle under pressure?

NaturalAspirations - i havent even thought about turbosmart at all. Im gonna look into it seems pretty simple. but like i stated need a good bov to handle a lot of pressure
