6265 w/ video!
UPDATE: 5/14: finally finished up the car and it went onto the dyno! these are all uncorrected dynojet numbers
pump gas tuning 11.5 psi 448whp
93oct/q16 mix 14psi creeping to 16 near rev limiter 517whp
the 4" exhaust didnt work out as planned, so the exhaust was routed though a spare carbon fiber hood i had and came out insane looking/sounding
this week a new wastegate dumptube will be fabricated(shorter with flared end)to eliminate the boost creep(current is too long/narrow) and the car will be put back on the dyno for final tuning. the tuner said the car will easily make 600whp at around 19psi on q16!
and for the videos:

and for some 4th of july fireworks

hey guys, ive been working on this build for quite a few months, and its coming very close to completion. Im hoping for around 600whp with this setup. The car is currently in the shop getting the clutch installed/ 4" exhaust fabricated and tuned. The mods are as follows:
2006 2.2 longblock block and trans
ap1 intake manifold, no dbw here
Precision 6265 ported cover, .82ar vband
custom equal lenght top mount
precision 46mm wastegate (9psi spring)
aem 1052 w/ uego tapped in and serial gauge
aem boost solenoid
fic 900(1000)cc injectors
pfab 2.5 stainless intercooler pipes, stage 3 race core
walbro 255hp, bypass mod and hardwired w/ relay
3" vband thru hood exhaust
iridium 8s
tial 50mm bov
omni 3bar map sensor
braille 6lb race battery
act 6 puck race clutch
act flywheel
supra pcv
The car used to have an aem methanol kit, but this was removed for saftey/reliability and straight q16 will be run. The car was recently gutted out due to the back window of the softtop cracking and i went a lil crazy. memory fab CF seats were installed for more weight reduction as well as the stock roll hoops and beam. A cusco or custom cage will be installed as soon as the car is tuned. I will have some pics up asap!

Very nice man.
Although, I think you should have went with the 6262 turbo though. The 6265 has been proven to only spool up slower than the 6262 but they both put out the same peak numbers. My 6262 is fully spooled to 27-28 psi at around 5100 rpm on my tubular manifold with race gas. I am in the process of switching to e85 and the full spool should drop to 5000 rpm. I'm willing to bet that your 6265 will be fully spooled around 5500 or so. Thats huge in wtq numbers. Just something to think about.

^^The 6165 is quite a bit smaller than the 6265. The 62 compressor side takes a bit more to spool up. My buddy has the 6265 on his s with the IP cast log manifold and he is fully spooled at around 5600 rpm.

before i bought the turbo i gave a call to cft and they told me to go with the 65 backhousing over the 62 considering i have the 2.2 block.. im not worried to much about spool times between the 2, i think it will be a very close match in spool. my manifold looks to be efficient, and the 4" exhaust should help. i just cant wait to drive this thing for the first time!

haha j/k
