Default 70mm throttle body - or fools gold?

...........really makes a difference or a fools gold?
what parts that will make a reasonable/justified gain for the bucks? I really don't want to hear 2hp, 3hp or 5hp addition while spending gazillion.
just asking....

lightweight flywheel does wonders. I have a port matched 74mm FBM throttle body but I changed so much stuff at once I can't comment on its improvement...

As long as you dont blow anything up, turning up the boost is the most cost effective lol

The biggest change I can comment on with the larger throttle body is how it affects driving bumper to bumper traffic. Its very difficult to lightly press on the throttle when in gear foot off the clutch. The slightest touch of the throttle lets in a huge burst of air and the car just wants to go go go

........so far, this make sense.
the reason i asked, any s2000 hot rod parts upgrade cost so much dough and not enough bang!

i guess a good tuning is really the best bang for the bucks....nothing else.

Its important to remember though, turning up boost means you have to have the car tuned for that boost level. The tune can be several hundred dollars but a good one will usually ensure that the engine lives a long healthy life. Bad tunes murder motors.

Throttle body gains are very minimal if any at all. It's more a matter of when the oem size becomes a bottle neck then an upgrade is needed.

With bolting up a SOS 70mm TB and doing the port match at the manifold opening, my afr jumped lean to just over a full point. I am Supercharged just fyi. This result told me that the extra fuel required put me right inline with an equivalent of adding 1psi of boost to the set up. Dyno gains are proven at 12whp on a basic low boost SC set up Dynojet. NA it’s about half. Turbo I don’t know if the results would be any different then SC, I wouldn’t think so. Throttle response of course when up which, I enjoyed.
