8.8 diff mod.
Ive ust bought a Fullblown 5.9 rear end setup with DSS propshaft and driveshafts. The Diff is from a 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra, or so Fernando tells me.
I need to find out what size bolts I need for the Diff. The 4 bolts that attach the prop to the diff, that is.as a reference m10 is too small and M12 is too big. I would imagine they are going to be something like 1/2 x 3/4 but could be fine or course thread.
I only need the 4 but once I get the size I can order them off eBay.Fernando suggests I go into a local Ford dealer in the UK and ask, but I'm sure they wouldn't be any help.
I suspect you guys would know straight away, but my brain is all metric now and I don't have anything non metric to use as a reference.
Thanks in advance.

Dealerships in Europe don't run the same way as the ones in the U.S.. Many parts have to be ordered from overseas, or as the case here in Germany with Honda, they are not even available. Hardware isn't worth the expense or trouble getting it shipped when you can go down to a hardware shop and spend 4 bucks on exactly what you need.

Well, it's been around 4 weeks now since this was bought up. Fullblown pm'd me to say they were going to send me the right bolts out.Mmmm perhaps the got lost in the shipping,
4 f***king weeks to send out 10 bolts???? It kinda puts me off dealing with them.no mention of my dented Radiator! I guess that ain't quit so simple because there is money involved.
Dealing with America is something not recommended if you live in the uk,Check out my build thread on the uk forum if you think I am over reacting. What started out as a 12 month project is moving on towards 18 months/ 2 years and I can put my finger right on the reason for that.
Just tell me the bolt size, at least that way my car will be a little bit closer to actually being put together.
How it is at the moment 80% if the crap I've bought from America has had to be modified or reworked by me, I'm not an engineer, just somebody who has paid top dollar to reputable companies for second rate crap....... Never again, and I will tell anybody else thinking if doing the same.
If I get any negative responses to this rant I will start to name names and I have photo's of the shoddy shit that is supposed to pass off as " the fastest/best****in the world"

I'm not asking for a lot just 10 bolts, maybe you should consider that after having spent around $50.000 on parts from America that perhaps I could at some point get what I've paid for and not having to spend more time and money on making parts fit.Just to put things into perspective, I spent around $13000 on a gearbox sourced over in the uk and it bolted right up and every part of it lines up to where it's supposed to.
Presumably you are happy to receive parts brand new that are scratched and dented?
Sorry if I sound bitter and this is not a go at you but.....
If I can be bothered to spend the time, effort and money to make the underneath of my car look like this should I be happy with scratched and dented parts that are on show?
