Default About to weld -10an on my valve cover

Hey guys, I am going to weld some -10 an bung on my valve cover to run them to my catch can/radiator overflow combo and was wondering if there's any benefits of welding them on the side vs front:

Front:

Side:

I like both was wondering which one is preferred.

PS: I took some pics out of show your catch can setup page, so if the owners of the pictures want me to take them down, please PM me

I don't think it would make much of a difference.
My preference would be 'front' because it looks better in my opinion.

I think you want to go with the side to take advantage of the baffles that are already in place. If you go to the front there are no baffles there and you'll suck a lot more oil out. My .02.

def go with the side and use the baffles that are there already, I did mine in the side underneath the baffles and my catch can fills up quick if i beat on the car, even over flows sometimes, i will be redoing mine to the baffles this winter

So you guys are recommending that I use the stock breather and PCV location since side location like the picture above also doesn't have any baffling?

whatever you do make sure you add a baffle or doit behind the one on valve cover! my catch can used to fill up bad on my last car, i was thinking about doing the front ones then welding a fitting to the timing chain cover and the catch can to run a return line from catch can, since i change my oil alot anyways im more worried about getting pressure out the engine then moisture issues.

Drivers side for sure. There are internal baffles that make a difference.

Yea it works good, no need to check catch can or worry of over flow.

Do you guys have any pictures of the inside of the valve cover with the welds?

- Sung

EDIT: Underneath the valve cover looks like this:

So.. it looks like no matter where you weld it, you wont have baffles unless you use original PCV/breather location?
