Default advice for building a f20c

Hi guys! I'm in need of good advice for my s2000. I melted pistons in my first engine F20c , the top ring was litterally destroyed and cracked. The cylinder are scored and need sleeves.

Since then I put a use motor just to run this summer and build my engine later. Now it start to throw some blue smoke after a pull, and is getting hard to start the car, need to crank from 2 to 10 sec to make it start ( never the same ) . Im assuming some piston ring may be cracked or broken.

I took the compression today, 170-170-200-205 ( 1 to 4 )

I'm running a custom turbo hx35 with water meth , ngk 8 plug, a conservative 11:1 tune AFR and 15psi. Is it because the stock piston are weak?? I took appart my spare engine planning to drop in some Darton flanged sleeves and drop some f20c stock piston and rod, new bearings and gasket. Should I put some CP piston instead of the stock one??

I'm confused, I dont want to throw 10 gran on a block. Except for the sleeves install i'm building the engine myself ( i'm a mechanic )

How many miles were on the new engine that's going? The stock pistons aren't weak... Are you sure you don't just need your valves adjusted? Or maybe the valve retainers are going and that is causing a misalignment and the low compression?

Whoah!

Stock pistons are good, looks like the donor engine you got wasn't as good as you thought. Lamely speaking an engine only needs over 100 psi to start and "feel" normal it may be the tune did it start hard originally?. Performance wise or getting on it, at that point you'll see other things that show engine isn't at optimal shape. Cr. Does look down a bit so the damage might already be done, but we're talking a hand full of things that we could "pin it on" banjo bolts, tune, miles. ... alot. 10 grand on a engine is a little unnecessary not sure of your goals. But I will say there are engine builders that kno wizard sh*t plane and simple if you want to abuse an engine find one, I'm talking ABUSE tho! Lol if u don't think you'll need that a simple flanged sleeve block and the and pistons and engine within spec is nothing to sneeze at, this engine will take alot and making sure everything is freshened up will only fuel your first baseline. GL!

Edit: while u have a spare and working on another, deffly in my opinion go flanged Dartons and throw the cp slugs in. I always try to stay with proven reliability n not try to guinea pig stuff. You could even call them and tell them everything and they will be able to give you good advice.

Default Hello! I got a Question about pistons

Hello everyone, I would like to ask you if Honda has ever produced and have given the option on the market for pistons for the s2000 ap1 with a higher compression than the compression of the stock pistons. I'm talking specifically about Honda as a creator company

Thank you,
George

The pistons used in the JDM engine give a higher compression ratio over the ones used in the USDM and EUDM engines
