Greater selection of pistons (and bore sizes)/stronger

What numbers are you shooting for?

Cons: EXPENSIVE Pros: Strong What are you planning on doing? All motor? Boost? Nitrous? The F20 FRM blocks are pretty strong to start.

That article is more so regarding a large bore build F20. There are plenty of smaller bore sleeves to be had and there are guys running 1000+ horsepower on built F20/F22's (Look up Carey Bales s2000). Honestly, if you are wanting 400-500 horsepower, leave the engine stock. They stock block can handle a beating (Look up Realstreet's s2000). All depends on what your goals are. If you want a big bore, then the article pretty much gives you the cons, ie less surface space for the head gasket and so on. For an N/A build, big bore could probably be worth it since you're trying to squeeze every ounce of power/torque you can get. But honestly, I don't think the cost is worth it.

Just gathering as much info as I can before doing this. I would not go max bore need room for next build. Taking baby steps first NA then I may go with hidden nitrous system no drilled intake/direct porting max 75 shot but will keep as small as I can. This car is a daily driver. Shooting for solid 300 hp perfer NA but if I am unable to get the 300 then add nitrous as needed.

NA 300whp won't happen unless you get huge stroker. 2.7 with itbs and full breather mods with a tune and you should be around there.
