It will still retard timing, but it will not be able to advance timing it would seem...
FYI, pretty much all the time all you do is retard the timing from OEM (non FI computers) since they run so much timing to begin with.

This will still be DOPE for FI cars. It just wont have the timing advance function for NA cars (only retard timing), but who really cares about NA cars of a forced induction forum.

its not like timing advance doesn't work well on boosted cars

For example you can increase timing when out of boost, which can lead to great performance gains and even economy gains

plus, if you lower your compression in anticipation of big boost, it really helps to crank up the timing, especially at low RPM

I see no need for increasing the cars timing from stock (which is pretty good) when in a "out of boost" condition.
You guys are reaching...
Go ahead and spend the money on the EMS though, my car will be just as fast on this.
