Default AEM EMS

I use to have and Integra that was tuned by the EMS. Its an OBD2a car. I was wondering if I could use this in my s2000 as I plan to turbocharge it during the winter.

Any comments are welcome

Thanks

I'm not positive but I think the AEM has to be specific for the S2000. Unless maybe the one you have is universal for any Honda. But I don't think they have them that way.

You could try and call AEM(may take hours to get through though) and ask them if yours can be upgraded to work with the S2000.

It will work, but you will have to make a wiring harness. The pinouts on the EMS for the Teggy will be differant from the S2000 box. That's the only differances in the EMS boxes..that I know of.

Best bet is to sell your old Integra one and buy a new S2000 one. The conversion, if even possible, would probably cost more than just selling the old and buying a new one. AEM generally says it's impossible to swap from one car to another due to internal hardware differences in the EMS units.

To a point that is correct, but all you have to do is rewire the box and it will work. I wouldn't recommend it though, because there are a lot of wires and it's not a straight forward job either. You have to figure out which 5v lead to use where (example...VTEC solenoid might be pin A16 on 30-1012, 30-1002 might not have a pin for VTEC so you'd have to use a LS driver and configure the software) and if you get one thing wrong it could mean the end of your engine.

I agree that you should sell it and buy the correct one.

Nope that would be too easy If that where the case, AEM one sell a universal box and not call it plug and play.
