Default AEM EMS Help

O.K. I've been searching and trying to figure out what parts I need to have my AEM EMS UEGO control my boost instead of having an external unit. I've gathered so far but not completely sure.

1. 3.5 Map sensor - GM or AEM? Where do you mount either one, Part numbers, and best place to buy them from.

2. Boost solenoid - GM? Who else has them, where do you mount, Part numbers, and best place to buy them from.

Anything else? Also does anyone know the size bolt/thread that will fit in place of the vtec switch. Thanks!

It'll be nice to have total control of boost throughout the rpms of each gear. Let me know if you find out anything.

I have a GM solenoid and connector and an AEM 3.5Bar MAP sensor for sale if you are interested. They are both new and never been used. PM me if interested.

For those of you with the GM solenoid... does it tick like a time bomb constantly? Mine has done it ever since it was installed, and i have no idea why...

Phil: you don't need to replace the OEM MAP sensor to control boost--all you need is a boost control solenoid. AEM makes one and so does GM. I believe most people prefer the GM and that is what I have on my car. You only need to replace the OEM MAP sensor when you go above a certain psi. I am boosting almost 13 psi on the OEM MAP sensor and have no issues.

Thanks Justin. Oh and I recieved your package. I was surprised to find all that heat shielding! Thanks I appreciate it! Do you know where and how yours is installed? I'll have to do the same pretty soon.

I just packaged my manifold, turbo housing and downpipe to get coated. I'll be relocating a few things so by the time everything is back I'll be able to dyno.
