when i read this page i thought it would be actual people sharing maps...well its clearly not. getting someone elses map that has a simular set up is awsome help and a great idea to anyone running a new ems (detuned). as every one should know, that any map close to your set up will drastically ruduce the price to have you car tuned even if the map only gets your car started, it still reduces that much time for the tuner to program that. i am getting mine tuned by jotech in about 2 month a i am going to come here and directly up load mine.
Any close map to an F20C with CAI and testpipe to be used as basemap ?
I'm using AEM EMS series 2 30-6052 with UEGO 30-4100.
Where to start......
I have always been happy to share Emange maps b/c there are less variables to contend with. Nearly every person that is using it has 550CC RC injectors, a Greddy Turbo and it is a piggy back system so the EMS takes care of all the hard stuff. With the EMS this in not the case at all.
Now a great tuner like Mase can surely do a box tune but in reality it is an internet tune, which is an iterative process between a well experienced tuner and an educated customer. This is not the same as just downloading the program and letting her rip.
I started down this road also some time ago until I figured out that it was much easier to take the stock map and start rescaling and modifying until you get what you want. This can be said for everything including timing if you have a wideband and the knowledge of how to use the software.
My advice would be to read the manuals, I have read mine 5 or 6 times now, use the AEM forums and our tuning forum, read information at legit sites such a megasquirt.com and try it yourself.
If you don't want to do this email mase@maseengineering.com and I am sure he will be able to help.

thought i wouold ask here and not open a new thread since all the AEM guys will be here. i searched, but could only find old sources. i am getting an AEM EMS series 2 6052. i am wondering if the factory water temp gauge will work with this or will i either need to modifry it or get a external gauge..
I will be posting mine, as well. People need to learn how to touch up a map that's close enough to their setup. Tuning isn't something all of us aren't capable of learning. There are great EFI resources online and good books that teach theory. There are also other tools such as aftermarket knock sensor lights and stuff that make for good tuning tools.
It is only a matter of time before aftermarket ecu's self-tune for proper ignition/fuel. I believe the traditional tuner should start thinking about other ways to supplement their income. I have seen some pretty awesome prototypes recently.
