aem ems parity error?

Default aem ems parity error?

Not for an s2000 but for a 98 supra. Put in the aem ems but getting a parity error and break error. things i tried
1.) 98 lab top with serial port
2.) xp with usb iogear usb to serial.
3.) change com settings.
4.) car does have ground and power

IM getting a long list of parrity error and sometimes break error. can someone help me out?

I can't be certain, but I think you need to change your serial port protocol.

One way to change parity is as follows:

1) Right-click "My Computer" on your desktop and select "Properties" on the menu that pops up.

2) Left-click the "Hardware" tab in the System Properties dialog box.

3) Left-click the "Device Manager" button on the Hardware tab.

4) Right-click on the entry for you com port and select "Properties" on the menu that pops up.

5) Select the "Port Settings" tab.

6) Set the parameters as desired and left-click "OK."

You'll have to figure out what the parity should be, because I don't know what the AEM EMS is looking for.

I have the same problem with internal logging. It worked for about a year, but for no reason I can think of, it started this nonsense. I reloaded the software to no avail.

sorry to report this, but acccording to AEM's website this is a problem with the hardware. My advice is to call their tech support

still no luck i tried running 100 diffrent settings i get

offline
online
parity error
break error

i tried to do a wake up but i get nothing.. way to spend 1800!!
