Default AEM FIC

I havent come across anyone using this managment device since the 1912 software update for Ap1's a few years ago, I may be the first I'd like to know what FI set up your running @ what boost level and what modifications you deemed neccisary to have made if any such as new MAP sensor, head gasket etc. Throw out your power numbers as well

I made 350whp at 10.5 psi.

Some info. There was no timing correction needed. Stock timing maps for this boost level with a centrifugal blower were fine apparently, I was surprised, but made for one less thing to need to tune. WOT tuning was strait forward, Partial throttle tuning took a bit of a learning curve from the tuner, still fine tuning this, and I will be splicing in a separate connection for vtec adjustment since Boomslang decided not to incorporate a pin for that in their pnp harness which i thought was dumb. The FIC can control vtec but not with the pnp harness, so we will splice in the connection and finish some fine tuning on the partial and WOT throttle.

really????

very interesting to note about vtec. my greddy kit was the same way. i dont remember if boomslang made the harness or not, but the harness was also not wired to control vtec, even though the software supported it. very strange!

Yeah isnt that dumb? I had no idea... I think someone needs to talk to Boomslang about this. I'm confident to say that if it was widely known, it wouldnt help thier sales.

I wanna get in contact with you or your tuner, I have the partial throttle issues between 4-5k RPM where Vtec was attempted to be modified. I wanna get that jumpy spot out of the tune and then it will be perfect.

Curios also, with your vtec... besides the jump at transition you are experiencing, does it operate like stock where it only kicks in under load? Or is it like the VAFC where it kicks in at a set rpm regardless of how much you press the peddle?

With the Vtec, im sure that its actually not working properly, I havnt had it back to Autowave for a check up and retune since it was done. So im not really sure on that technical aspect ><. Im taking it to S and R here in tampa soon, then i hope to have some answers
