Default AEM FIC vs. E-manage Blue?

I'll be turning up the boost a little bit on my CTSC setup and I'm wondering about AEM FIC vs E-Manage Blue. It doesn't seem like a lot of S2K people are using the FIC, but just about every other import car raves about it. I'm just curious as to the advantages of one vs the other, or if it doesn't really matter. The one thing that has me leaning towards the FIC is that I have an AEM Wideband and I guess it has a port for you to plug it into.

The other thing I noticed is that the AEM FIC is 21x17 and the Blue is only 16x16.

Can anyone share their opinions? Please don't recommend a full standalone ECU. I'm only running 8psi and I need to keep emissions so I can't justify $1500-$2800 for AEM EMS or K-PRO.

Thanks :]

How about the E manage Ultimate instead of the blue? I run it with my Greddy kit and really like it.

I am running the F/IC with the exact same setup. I can't tell you if one is better than the other, but I have not had any problems with the AEM. I picked up a plug n play harness from Boomslang to go with it, and there were no issues with install or tuning. Get the latest 1912 model or you can send a 1910 back to AEM to have it updated.

Good answer, i've been looking at these and at first they looked a bit dodgy, glad they have sorted the problems out for the S as this was always going to be a good option

I also have a AEM fic with a boomslang harness. I am not forced induction but will be soon. The car has no problems with the AEM in stock form.

So I guess all the issues are taken care of in the 1912? Im seriously considering this option in the next couple weeks.

Any issues with idle or partial throttle control with larger injectors?

I was under the impression that the FIC was only to add boost to a non-boosted engine. Can you tune the non-boost portion of the fuel and ign maps also?

From what I understand, you can only retard timing. It won't be very useful to tune NA since you can't add timing. Maybe someone else can confirm this.

I have an occasional hiccup at idle. Not sure if it's the injectors, tuning, or heat soak. It has stalled twice on me in the last month but overall it idles pretty steady.

No problems at idle so far, just make sure you get the harness because I had a lot of problems without it.
