AEM Infinity
Currently aem doesnt have anything that uses the aem net can bus to monitor anything. last I heard they were working on something but who knows.
The infinity has a number of engine protections built in that you can use depending on the sensors you have installed. You can configure them all to set off the cel so you know something is wrong but other than that we're all waiting.

Does V2 not have these capabilities to default to a "safe" parameter if something falls out of line?
it does, but not as many and not as configurable and the v2 wont automatically do things about them.. ie, fuel pressure... if it drops with a v2 you have to stop, if it drops with infinity it automatically adds the correct amount of fuel.
the oil pressure/temp protections work pretty much the same. The infinity has error checking on its built in wideband controller to monitor the sensor etc.

Since when you setup an Infinity, it knows the VE of your specific engine combination, it makes calculations (extremely fast by the way) based on sensor input and makes adjustments accordingly. So if you have a drop in fuel pressure, for example, you won't even see a blip in A/F as the Infinity is that fast in correcting. So unlike traditional fail safe modes, where you'd lose a round if something happens (very important to someone racing competitively) because it just defaults to set calibration or number, it'll make changes based on that data and allow you to fix the problem without loosing a round.
I have been using the AEMnet/Can stream for my dash for awhile now. So it's definitely there and can be configured.
Chadd, I don't see any reason why your stock gauges wouldn't work with an Infinity.

With the wires and pinning, I believe they pinned the additional sensors into the factory harness in spots that were not used by the oem system.

I'd suggest waiting a week or so, we will be releasing a complete plug and play harness and mounting bracket that attaches to factory mounting locations.
Thanks for all the replys guys.
Wadzii, I'll PM you.

Nice! What about if we are adding in fuel and oil pressure sensors to take advantage of the Infinity fail safes? Would we have to cut the connector to fit the sensor then? I think the AEM harness has theirs setup with provided sensors if you choose to add some, that way you wouldn't have to cut any connectors free and wire in new ones. Also, the AEM harness has provisions to run their o2 sensor for more control and safety. Is that correct? Would just need to add in another bung for the second o2 while I can monitor the AF with the Innovate in the car.
