Is the AEM Infinity worth it over other options?
Hey guys,
I am about to pull the trigger on upgrading to the AEM Infinity 6 but was talking to my tuner and he said it's not worth it and it has too many bugs that need worked out. Is there anyone here that has tuned the Infinity 6 and V2 to state whether the Infinity is really that much better than the V2? Is there much differences between the two for the cost of the Infinity?
Need expert advice before pulling the trigger.

had a few software hiccups in the very beginning but its been great ever since, tuning ve vs injection time is always a smoother process and my understanding is that in the future the v2 will not have much support like the v1 as updates are concerned. if you can afford it do it
There are three distinct advantages of the Infinity compared to Series 2:
1. advanced hardware including faster processors allow VE fuel strategy, which can yield better results
2. proper traction control functions built in
3. newer, meaning longer term support - no new features will be added for Series 2, and in the very distant future they may no longer be supported by AEM
That being said, the Series 2 is perfectly fine for most customers. It is also significantly less expensive and easier to install.
The bugs your tuner referred to are largely ironed out and there is nothing of significance remaining in our experience. We use the Series 2 EMS on our own TT/ST car, and are perfectly happy!
Here is some information on the Infinity-6 product:

Keep in mind, with every Infinity sale, we include a half hour of remote ECU setup for free including access to our library of calibrations.

i talked to my tuner about making the jump also since ive been running the v2 for about a year. he said for a street car with occasional track days the v2 will be sufficient enough for my needs. so it depends what you want the car to be used for
