A quick perusal of the PDF file i said to check out gives a good description of what pin-outs are needed to set up the oil pressure sender.

This is the PDF file. http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde....0;attach=4294

D8 is a 0-5 volt input wire which correlates to ADR14.
D9 is a ground reference
D13 is a switched 12v output

To see where these correlate on the D plug, the actual PDF gives a diagram.

In regards to the actual sensor, it should give you a diagram of what the wires do, but one will be 12v, usually red; one will be black, which is ground; and one will be output, which could be any color.

I thought I had this saved on my laptop, and when I went to check this weekend (out of town skiing), I didn't have it. The internet there was spotty, so I didn't look for it. Forgot once I got back in town.

Appreciate the time you took to look that up for me, much thanks.

I'm wondering if I can tie only one wire into the EMS, instead of all 3? Power to a switched source, ground to ground, and the sensor output to D8 ?

Yes, I believe you can. AEM just needs the sensor signal. Those power and ground are available as extra sources.

I read or heard somewhere that you need to get the ground and switch power to run from there, or at least the ground. Not 100% though.

I think it's smart to keep the grounds the same, as the ecu uses the ground reference for the sensor, but the voltage shouldn't matter where it comes from.

I'll end up sending all 3 wires back to the ecu area, and connecting the ground to the place on the frame there, and the voltage off an accessory.

I plan to work on it this weekend or this coming week.
