Default AEM Serial Datastream Gauge

I've been thinking of getting a couple of gauges. I need Boost and a wide band A/R.

I already have the EMS 1052U, so I like the idea of using the Serial Datastream Gauge and daisy chaining two in a row.

I heard it's tough setting up the gauges. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Here's a link

Setting them up is not that hard. You can get away with just 1 gauge and toggle back and forth between the screens.

It also has a setting where if one of the systems is out of the set parameters, it will automatically change to that gauge so you can monitor it.

this thing is a PIA, I have had 2 different customer cars with this in it and can not get it to program properly, does anyone know if a newer computerwi th Vista, without a serail guage, so you have to use a serial to usb adapter would cause a issue on programing?

im not sure what issues you guys are having with the serial gauge. But if you setup your wideband, via C16 on the wiring harness and get the 0-5 voltage calibrated, you should be able to see wideband easily! The calibration issues i have had are with getting the grounds to work correctly on the actual EMS, which then outputs the settings to the serial gauge!

The serial guage comes with its own installation program and can be a little tricky at first, but allows for ALOT of personal settings! I would follow the instructions and give yourself a few hours to mess around with the software!

does the C16 apply to the 1052U? I thought since I have the 1052U that it would be plug and play.

my apologies.. i didn't read that! Yeah, it should be fine then! Its so sick when you have the AEM reading your wideband! I've setup closed loop feeback and have improved my partial throttle MPG!
