Default AEM V2 MY07

Does any know if AEM V2 is a piggy back system for 06+? I was told that it is a piggy back system and that I should be running a stand alone like Flashpro for MY06+

A FlashPro is not a piggy back or a stand alone. It just is a method of tuning your existing ECU. It re-flashes it, hence the name FlashPro.

To my knowledge AEM does not make a harness for the +06, FlashPro is about your only option for normal tuning activities.

I have the AEM V2 currently. It comes with a Harness that attaches to the stock ecu and the AEM.

Yes, it is a "piggyback". You retain the stock ECU and notably OBDII functionality. FlashPro is hardly a standalone, it just flashes the stock ECU. The AEM offers more functionality.

I was also told that it isn't a good system to use since it's a piggy back...

I've never heard of the AEM EMS v2 referred to as a piggy-back. You have to remove the factory ECU to install the AEM correct?

E-manage and E-manage ultimate are piggy backs.

06+ specifically is a dual ECU setup, similar to the KPro setup. It's a different part number from the one for 00-05. I believe the reason for it is the DBW can't be controlled by the Series 2. Ininfity however can and is a full standalone.

Price point between infinity and v2 is big if I'm correct.
