Default AEM Wideband Install

Ok, so, everything seems fairly simple, im having my friends dad just weld the new bung onto my test pipe a little bit after the first o2 sensor, but here is the part that im confused about. I know the black wire is a ground (thats easy), but the red wire is supposed to go to my ignition..The only problem is that my water pump goes into that spot i believe....So when i turn the key, thats the only time the pump will start going which is what i want the Wideband to do...Do i just have to tap into the water pump wire???? Has anyone had to do this install with a comtech supercharger? Any help would be really appreciated, thanks guys.

Loads of things run off the ignition circuit. The water pump power should be a fine source. Just tap into it.

I wouldn't mess with the water pump. Use the spare spade connector in the fuse box under the dash

and now you can connect it to the "accessory" tap on the fuse box. Note where it is in the picture, on the left hand side of the fuse box- it's the third "hole" down from the top. This is the one switched with the ignition (alternatively one is for the lights, and the other for constant power). Be sure to slide the connector over the spade (male) contact in the hole.
I have my wideband wired there, and it works

Yes, you need to ground the other wire. Forget which color it was on the wideband, but ground is almost always black.

What are you talking about, the water pump is belt driven?

Just use an add a fuse and place it in the Accessory space.

What size spade did you use for this? Just so I know when I come to wire mine in next week. I work away so would be good to get the parts in through the door for when I arrive home.

Cheers
