Default After-cooled/intercooler?

Hey guys! Just joined the group a few days ago, and I'm still new to forum pages. I had a little trouble finding the answer to my question.

So, I'm picking up an ap1 s2000 next week, and I've been trying to research supercharger kits for it. I came from a Subaru WRX, so my experience is only in turbos! Lol.
I've been looking at the Comptech supercharger and it has an after-cooler. What exactly is that? I'm only familiar with an Intercooler lol. I read some old threads that mentioned how comptech switched from intercoolers to after coolers. Any info would be great! Even links to threads that will answer my question.

Thanks!!

They are simply a liquid to air heat exchanger . Basically a sealed liquid to air unit that has water pumped through it to cool the compressed air . The heated water is pumped out to a small radiator to remove the heat . It is a very effective means of cooling the air down . These work much better with the centrifigal supercharged setups as they do not loose responce or boost pressure when compared to front mount intercoolers . In a nutshell

Okay, that makes sense! I just didn't know if it was supposed to replace the Intercooler or if it was an additional piece.
Thanks!

Mate just buy the TTS Race Kit and be done with it.

Without knowing your personal experience with rwd, my #1 suggestion for you - keep the car stock for a year and learn to drive it before you go doubling the hp. Plenty have killed themselves with stock power, and an awd sedan this is not...

Wow, just looked into it. Sounds very aggressive! Haha. Are you running the TTS Kit?

Hmm, that's probably a good idea. I mean, I'm not inexperienced, but yeah, I know rwd is a world of difference compared to my awd. I'm just trying to educate myself so when I'm ready to go forced induction, I know what to get.
