LOL...I understand the bat cave time! 2.5 isn't too bad...I would think that the air temp difference would make up for it. Would be interested to see the difference, did you dyno and will you dyno after the swap?

With a properly setup aftercooler/heat exchanger iats should stay pretty low. While driving mine usually don't go over 120 when 90+ outside.

Throttle response is a lot worse due to all the intercooler piping.

Fmic might work if your target boost is no more than 10 psi. To get that you would have to run a 12-14 psi pulley. 2.5-4 psi loss is normal for a fmic setup.
So if you want 12 psi with a fmic you will be overall ning the blower and making a lot less power since it will be blowing hot air.

Well when I get it back together Novi 1200 w/ 3.2" pulley is supposed to make 16psi... don't think I would mind losing some of that, but would certainly want the iat's to drop significantly. I just think that my aftercooler soaks and then I am screwed.

What size heat exchanger do you have? Are you talking about tracking the car it heatsoaks? I've never had mine heatsoak on the street with my setup.

Not sure what the overall size of the heat exchanger...but it is pretty big. It does not need to be tracked to heat soak...just cruising down the road.

Is it the stock heat exchanger unit or an upgraded one? If stock then there's your issue.

Thats pretty much what I have. SOS front mount exchanger and this is the way Jeff Evans told me to go and for most people they like it. I want to see 10-11 psi on my qauge and with the FMIC that ='s overspinning the blower with a 3.0 pulley
