Default Aftermarket clutches (yes, another topic)

Yet another installment of what clutch to get for FI.

Actually I did the search thing to death and never got a good conclusion.

Im goin turbo on my car { 300hp there abouts}, my car ,'02, has 30k on it and I believe the stock clutch is slipping, I got on it hard goin from 1st to 2nd and it felt like I was riding the clutch (slipping) when in fact my foot was completely off the clutch pedal.

Anyways, I read alot on here and decided to stay away from the Exedy, cuz from what ive read, its a lil too aggresive for me. My driving style is to putt around and on occasion put the hammer down. I want to get into autoX something this summer, so that is a factor.

I was lookin at the ACT Pressure Plate and disk combo Heavy Duty with Street Disc & the TODA clutch disk with lighted flywheel but they say to use the stock PP. And then I see the MUGEN offerings for PP and clutch set.

All seem to be around the same pricings, give or take.

Im lookin for the most streetable clutch that could handle the extra power. Im not goin to do any High RPM dumps or really crazy driving but will run to redline and shift quickly when need be.

I realize this is done to death, but never really got all the answers thru the search feature.

I'm going ACT clutch as well. The ACT Pressure Plate is good for 368 ft lbs of torque, good enough for me. Btw ACT is a rework of stock, and oem is made by ACT.

H-021 - Heavy Duty Pressure Plate
HSD2000S - Performance Street Disc
Torque Capacity: 383 ft/lbs.

from ACT web site.

I've heard Center Force was really good. Anyone else know about them.

I tried a clutchnet segmented fiber disc. I will not go back to them. The tranny would not get into gear with that disc. Swapped it out for an oem one and everything was perfect. They also dragged their feet with crediting me back. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my CC.
