Thumbs down AHHHHHHH TURBO NEW PROBLEM

OKKKKKKKKKKKKK finished installin my custom kit. Ran fine held 6 lbs of boost with my boost controller turned all the way down no problem.

New problem:
Soon as i hit 6 pounds and hold it car throws a check engine light and goes into safe mode my a/f ratios shoot straight to 10.0-11.0's. It drives like shit after. When i was supercharged i never took out the map defenser or what hides boost from the map sensor. Is this the map sensor picking up the boost? Why would it throw a light if i have the map defenser? "sigh" turbos any help would be appreciated. Do i need a 3.5 bar map with aem ems if im only running 10 lbs? Im running stock injectors also.

Problem:
After a couple hundred miles the boost would spike way up to 15lbs and my wideband would go straight to 17.0. I have an xs power wastegate with which i thought had a 6.xx lb spring in it, turbosmart manual boost controller, all new high temp silicone vacuum hose. I've tried removing the boost controller and when i did that its only gettin 4 lbs of boost. Soon as i put the BC back in it doesnt stop the boost and hold it at 6lbs it just keeps going. This is the 2nd wastegate thats having the same problem and its on 2 different cars. Called the guy who sold it to me and gave me this crucial run around said he'd call back, and tried to blame the boost controller he said the boost controller might be installed backwards when on the boost controller it has an arrow saying ==> wastegate. I think if i can install a turbo kit i can hook up a manual boost controller. Took apart the wastegate and there was 3 little allen screws just chillin in the top of the wastegate. I put those back in tried it with the boost controller boost still went way past 6. Took out the BC and ran the line and now its only reading 3 lbs wtf happy with the new setup just want to boost and hold 6 lbs already so i can tune it. Anyone have any ideas? Appreciate it.

Solution: new wastegate!

So you eliminated the boost controller and ran a line right to the wastegate and it still will not hold steady?

If it hold steady without the boost controller then something is going on with the way it is hooked up or the settings on it.

Are you using the same boost port when hooking up the BC?

How many ports are on the wastegate?

2 ports on the wastegate hooking the BC inline from the wastegate bottom port to the compression side of the turbo.

It is definately hooked up right, try another bc or throw a couple of plastic t's inline on the hose without the bc

Old school way of boost control

what type of spring does the wastegate come with? are they Tial type springs? Maybe try changing out the spring? and just run the wastegate minus the controller. When you say its holding boost at 4 pounds. Is it actually staying at 4, or is it jumping all around?
