Just run a pipe from the inlet through the hole and put a filter behind the bumper.

There was a slight quicker spool up time but that was it. At higher boost level and power levels there may be a difference with a 3" but im at 508 and it didn't matter.

I don't run a cat so there would probably be some difference in power there vs a test pipe.
i don't have a cutout. My set up is a 76mm downpipe to a 70mm hfc now. U don't think I should run straight 3 inch test pipe to dual thru 2.5 exhaust?

The q300 is 2.75". I would highly recommend a test pipe if you are not worrying about emissions. I was just saying spending extra money on a full 3" exhaust is a waste unless you are going for massive HP. A test pipe to the q300 is what im running now. I think anything with a test pipe is going to drone. I was running this setup before the turbo...now THAT was a drone. It feels way quite compared to how it use to be.

Well im on E85 now so the smell is not near as bad as it was on 93. I don't smell like my car with the top down anymore. Honestly, if you are concerned with the smell and power, going for a 3" cutout right before the cat is the best option. You get the sound and power when you want it. No one knows my car is boosted when the exhaust valve is closed. When its open it sounds wicked, nothing but sounds of the turbo spooling.

what type of cutout do u have? Is it the psi actuated one or the electric one with a switch. I might go back to stock exhaust with 3 inch cutout. Lol.

Mine is on a switch. It's a QTP 3". I know a lot of guys like the vacuum operated type, but having the option to not get stupid loud when in boost is more appealing to me...and there is no power difference so it doesn't really matter.

You don't see any difference in the afrs boosting with it closed? I assume it was tuned open?

I had Mase Engineering tune the car. He tested it back to back and said there was no difference worth mentioning. He said it would probably have an effect at higher boost levels but not at what I was currently at, which was 16psi
