Default Air Pump Removal

This weekend I'm pulling off my front bumper cover to install a Lidatek Laser Jammer and a Canton Accusump. Since I'm using the AEM EMS with my turbo system, I figure I might as well pull out the air pump since it's just extra weight now. For those of you who have done this, did you just plug the metal tube that routes to the engine? Is there anything else I need to remove or modify?

I made a block off plate for the air control valve on the manifold. You can ditch the metal pipes and hoses if you'd like.

What material did you make the plate out of?
