Thumbs down Another AP1 Greddy Dyno

The basemap baselined at 300rwhp at 11psi.. Backed it back down to 10psi at redline and added fuel and some timing... Now reads 284rwhp and 191 ft/lbs. Will be shooting for the 325+rwhp mark with clutch and 3" exhaust. (Running 2.5" right now) This is a graph that shows before and after turbo...

Congrats.

And people say turbos don't keep the characteristic power curve as a stock s2k

It is a whole new beast!!! And no I can't make it bigger, it keeps getting resized automatically... Just save it and blow it up in MS Paint.

oh, and to add testimony to the basemap... I actually did run a lil lean WITH test pipe and boost set to constant 10psi / peak 11psi. My tuner added a lil timing like 1-1.5 * timing from 3k-5k and 6.5k-8k and added a lil fuel too the mix as well. This Ultimate E-Manage is really easy to tune. And I DID make 300rwhp on the dynojet with STOCK basemap... just was lean and a lil on the high side at 11psi. So a 15rwhp loss for 1psi...

I don't quite understand this comment.

Are you saying this dyno chart shows a turbo does keep the stock s2k power curve?

I beg to differ, the torque is great up to VTEC (unlike stock) where it actually dips to redline (unlike stock).

Yeah but he was referring to the HP. Tq gets you going and HP keeps you going If you look closer, the tq curve is really flatter than stock... STock gets a jolt at vtec and dimenishes.. Turbo gets full tq by 3800rpm and is fairly level and dimenishes off up top.

Strange enough the non vtec cams are making very good power, until the vtec cam hits in and makes the infamous "greddy vtec dip" ?

perhaps this is solvable with a better tune or change the vtec point to 6500-7000rpm?

perhaps changing the intercooler and getting some thicker pipes would increase the overal performance alot too? The turbo -> ic piping is reaallllyy thin...
