Thumbs down Another Greddy Installed: My opinions

Well, The install was done from Fri 5pm-10, then we finished this morning, from 10am-4pm, including an Invidia install which I will talk about. The car started right up, smoked quit a bit drove better, and smoother then stock (possibly becuase I switched out the Tranny fluid as well. It has been raining here for 2 days, so once the turbo spooled in 1st, the back wend was all over, so I don't know what it can do yet, but I have brought it to redline with the tires spinning, and engine is still good The GREDDY Emanage is underneath my seat, with the wires in the kick panel all over the place, Ill have to fix that, but the sound of the Turbo SPooling and the BOV, is worth the money alone, even if it you don't break 300WHP on the base tune. I have only driven 25 miles so far, and now I have to go out with the G/F, so in the early AM I will take it out and really get on it

The one issue I have is the Invidia is WAY WAY WAY too loud, what can I do?, can I swap put the Invidia resonator with another one? It is almost embarrassingly loud.

Wish I could give you guys more, but basically just did highway driving, ill let you know i the AM how she really feels

Super EASY install BTW

nice! i bet that spool/BOV sound is worth it. i'm fighting with my Godzilla right now to try to get that nice blowoff sound from my comptech sc...

update with some numbers! oh is it Invidia V3? or V2? V2 is quieter and sounds more refined but it sacrifices wider piping of the V3

The question is, are you running stock cat or a test pipe??? I noticed a significant reduction in noise in pre-vtec rpm range with swapping to the test pipe. With the stock cat in place, there was a crazy drone before vtec and then got quiet after vtec kicked in. Now it is a reasonable sound down low and crazy at WOT in vtec!!! Mine is only the 63mm V2 version though.

Congrats! Are you having any idling problems? When I come to a stop light and put my foot on the clutch sometimes it idles rough and then dies.

Thats very strange. Mine idles just like stock. Do you hear your fuel pump while driving around?

Perhaps you can swap back the old OEM pump and see if you car idles better.

Idles smoother then before the Turbo, (knock, knock) I am about to go out for my 1st real "test" run, anybody know what I can do about the Invidia Exhaust?, can I swap out the resonator with another, or even put a 3" Muffler in place of it, its way way too loud. Ill be back shortly to let you guys know how it feels. Also I may do some more heat wrapping, the Engine bay was HOT, and it was just normal driving

Ok Well, its around 30Degrees here in Jersey, so 1st Gear is just about useless . The car feels great, I dont feel Vtec nearly as much as before, but I hear that is expected. I dunno, almost "Too good to be true" I am driving around with a huge smile but I just feel like my car is going to blow up at any moment. When I went from 1st to 2nd (I got on it hard) it seemed to bog in 2nd for a split second, only did it once. I am going to get a Test Pipe an tune ASAP, mostly for Piece of mind not too concerned with an extra 20HP, I want reliability. All I can say is so far no problems, The car feels like a completely different animal, pure BALLS, I just hope it lasts, like I aid, almost too good to be true. I don't really here the BOV as much As I would like, seems like I hear it more when switching gears at 5,000RPM, then 8,000RPM, but that could be becuase of the motor washing it out at that high of an RPM. All In all very satisfied, just need a Test pipe & Tune.

When I get done with my Car There is smell, much like toasting marshmallows, I think its the Invidia, this normal?

I also find that 6th gear and 50mph is the quietest you'll get in the Invidia

That will change with a test pipe. I stay fairly quiet under 4k. VTec at WOT is loud as hell
