Default Another help me choose my turbo thread

Having no luck selling my AFI stuff I will just keep it. Now I need to decide on a turbo for my setup.

The manifold is a twin-scroll with a T4 turbo flange.

I've narrowed it down to a gt3076. Now im just wondering if there is a series with the Precision brand turbo.

For the gt3076:
T4 1.06 a/r t/s housing

Precision turbo: ????

Please provide some suggestions here. Thanks!

BTW: I like quick spooling turbos

why go with such a small turbo for a twinscroll setup.. id step it up to a 35r divided housing with the 1.06 a/r

^ Because it seems like he wants the quickest spooling turbo within his power goals. If his power goals fall within the range of the GT3076 divided why go larger?

Power goals?

Please define "quick spooling".

If I had the AFI stuff I would definitely go with a GT35R.

I think a twin scroll gt3076r would be absolutely nasty...isn't that what AFI runs on their own race car?

google search found this:

http://htarchive.org/showthread.php?t=2561948&page=2

towards the bottom a dyno of a AFI mani with a gt3076 on E85 @ 16psi:

lol I wish I saw this thread a while back.

I asked about a twin scroll manifold setup for GT30R back in 09, and people just laugh at that idea.

What's changed since 2009 that makes people think that this setup does work??
