Hello Everybody,

Seems like a lot more people have jumped on the forced induction scene lately and I decided to be one of them. Yesterday, I received my car back from Inline and thought I'd share my experience with them...maybe it'll help the guys thinking about getting a turbo.

Before I drove to them from New York, my supporting mods were the Invidia V3 dual exhaust and a test pipe. The magic number around these boards seems to be 350 whp and about 10 psi on stock compression and so thats what I asked for when I went to them. No problem they say. And I proceed to buy their basic turbo kit.

It took me 5.5 hours to drive from New York to Virginia and I left my car with them for about 2 weeks for install and tuning. I spoke mostly with Chris and Ya and they were very helpful explaining the in and outs of turbos. Here's the customer service that I received that everyone is talking about. Perfect.

Yesterday I picked up my car and drove it 5.5 hours back home. From 1-4k rpms, the car rides seems to ride like stock. After, the car feels like a beast and like everyone else says, words can't explain it. I already want more power. I figure I'll copy and take the advice of Spec_ops2087 and start small and go big later. For now, everything else in my car is stock.

Final numbers on the dyno were 325whp and 211 tq. I had a good experience and my only advice to people thinking about going turbo is to get ready to pay some money. You really gotta make sure you have enough money to pay to play. Whatever you think a turbo is gonna cost you, add another 2k.

I'll go back to them for future upgrades and definitely recommend them for anyone else thinking about going FI. My only concern on the way home was that the car slowly stalled twice when coming to a stop and I was in neutral...seemed like at around 2mph the engine just cut and I hit the hit the push start again...if anyone can chime in on that. Thanks again to everyone at Inline and hope you enjoyed reading this little blog or whatever you call it.

This is the only issue that I was never able to sort out with my car.

The car would routinely stall if I was decelerating with minimal braking, with the transmission still in a high gear. When the revs reached 1,500-1,000 RPM, I'd disengage the clutch and shift to neutral for the stop. Upon disengaging the clutch, the engine would die. Not a sputtering stall either, just dead. No fuss, no vibration, no indication other than zero on the tach and no exhaust note. Strange...

If I put the car in the same scenario but did not ride the engine all the way down to idle (put the car in netural when the engine was still in the 2,000-4,000 RPM range), this never happened.

Strange, that has never happened to me even in the same situation. Granted every once and a while the car will stutter a little bit (drop to say 500rpms at idle) but my car with the stock ECU did that all the time anyway so nothing new.

Most IP customers want a reliable tubro kit that can be run all day long without worrying about knock.

At 8psi I knocked out 340rwhp and at 10psi I knocked out about 380rwhp if I remember correct.
