Any interest in a supercharger anti-theft solution?

Default Any interest in a supercharger anti-theft solution?

I'm not sure how often these are stolen, but I'm thinking a M10 bolt with the right threads can be made with an uncommon/keyed heat to deter theft. Perhaps one of the ones that mounts the main bracket to one of the others, and maybe a keyed bolt for one of the brackets.

I looked all over for something like this. I know for my SOS kit it needs to be 55mm long.

Anyone know where to find something like this?

If thieves have time to steal your supercharger out of your car, they would have enough time to take your car to their own site and strip everything out of it.

Bolt a .45 to the cross beam, run a string from the trigger to the hood. Will stop at least one thief, maybe 2 if they are dumb

Wow, why would you worry they can steal the sc. If they have that time they can load it on a flat bed and take it anywhere they want.

I have to agree; I'm not worried about people stealing what's under my hood. This does remind me of the seat theft issue though, and Kodokan's seat locks. I did some googling a few months back and found that there are a number of companies on the 'net that sell bolts with special keyed heads like you mentioned. I couldn't find anything that was the right size for the seats, but there might be some in the right size for the SC.

I had a system I made with razor blades bolted under the hood and best part is that it worked! I was in scottsdale one night and my 2 way goes off, so I then rush to where my car is and

the hood was pop'd open and blood everywhere. Police came and laughed about it and told me to quickly take it off "so they didnt see anything" Sure enough there was a patient in a local ER that night that was admitted due to severe lacerations on the hands and significant blood loss.

Not sure what happened from that part, but I also made the blades rusty and rubbed them in animal shit to give a good infection.

Understand your concern, but like others have said, they would steal the entire car before they would take a SC...too much time to take off.
