Default any one with a Whipple setup

ive seen lately that they are becoming a huge hit with the K series guys and would love the power curve

I just came from a 335i and to be honest i miss that low end tq. ive looked into turbo's and the 3071 would still be laggy for what i want, m62 wouldnt give me the power i want and a comptech wouldnt give me the low end tq i am looking for

here is a k20 with a whipple on it and imo it would be the perfect power band for an s2000

A 3071 wouldn't be laggy at all but if you're looking for a tq curve like that, you should look into a TTS, HKS, or Kraftwerks.

It is very common sight k20 crew. Bad a Jackson racing s/c on my rsx and was fun. However IMO for $/hp it gets quite expensive to make as much power as a simple setup.

granted this is a graph for an s2000 and the previous was k series which has much more midrange tq, i dont see how the kraftwerks will give me the tq where i want it

None of those would touch that trq curve, and all but TTS wouldn't even hit that kind of hp. Think again. That is quite a nice power curve there, only duplicated by that style of blower. There isnt even a turbo set up that would mimic that flat of a trq curve over that broad rpm range.

Your right it wouldn't. Rotex is just a slightly more efficient blower, but just the same as a centrifugal like Comptech/Vortech. Your going to see the same line across the graph. They all make max trq/hp at the end of the powerband.

why do you say that? greddy turbo kit has the same spool characteristics as a 30r but less hp

ive done my research, just havent heard of anyone with a whipple, hopefully this post gets some traction and people see the benefits that the k series guys are going crazy over

To me it seems the greddy setup has the best low end tq.

it is trivial compared to a 3071, notice neither of these have 200tq before 3700rpm? while the whipple should give that tq nearly 2000 rpm earlier which is great for a daily driver

greddy kit
