Default Any tips for getting wideband harness...

I need to get my plx wideband harness into the passenger compartment and it looks like it needs about an inch hole to pass through.

I bought a grommet and can look for a good spot to drill, but I'd like to avoid doing that if possible.

Any tips? Pics would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance.

I cut the cable, shoved it through a pinhole in the main harness boot, and soldered everything back to together and shrink wrapped it.

If you are in the driver's side footwell looking at the pedals, to the lower right of the clutch master cylinder (if you don't know what it is just look for the silver piston looking thing connected to the clutch pedal that is passing through the firewall) and you will see a rubber boot. Make a slit in it and you can pass the harness through without having to cut it. It'll stretch. I ran all my lines through there, vacuum lines for water/meth inj controller, boost gauge, all power wires, line for water/meth inj, harness for wideband sensor...you get the point! Good luck! Oh and the place it comes out on the firewall is very convenient to reach as well.

yeah, i think you're describing the spot i did mine too. looking from the engine bay on the driver's side you see the grommet by the firewall. it's an easy reach from under the dash above the pedals. i used a hanger to pull the wires through.

Thanks for the responses. I think I found the way I will pass it through. I pulled all six wires from the plastic harness clip last night. Now all six wire bundle up tight enough to shove into the butt end of a hollowed out bic pen. A little duct tape secures the wires and the pointy end of the pen will get shoved through the rubber grommet, pulled out the other side, and the wires will just snap back into the plastic connector when I am done.

The pen will get a second pass with the vacuum hose for the boost guage in its posterior.
