Anyone fail state inspection due to open wastegate dump to atmosphere? Not the emmissions inspection but just regular state inspection.

i have more of an issue with my EMS not registering via obd-II.

 

Whats state inspection? We only have emissions testing here in CA. (Unless you get harassed by the cops)

 

In Virginia they check basically everything other than emmissions except some parts of northern virginia I believe. For state inspections, they check anything from blinkers and lights working to tire conditions and exhaust leaks. Of course, there won't be any exhaust leaks during inspection when they get the car up in the air.

 

Open dump fails MD inspection, you need to get a hold of the VA State Handbook and look it over.
