My brother installed a manual boost controller on his EVO8 and the spool time was affected in a very possitive way. I tried the Turbosmart on my car with the same result (can't explain it but the needle on the boost gauge just jump up like crazy when you hit it), only problem was the spring is too hard and I start overboosting so I took it off
. The install is a 10min. story and that part goes for under 100USD.
Anyone has experiences with a MBC and which one to get if I want to run only 8psi low (turned down) and 10psi high?

Jakub,
Yes I run a MBC. Why, its easy. I have it wired on a 2 stage boost controller that I built. I would post how I built it but alot of the venders get upset with me when I post my DIY cheap ass projects. *clears throat* Krankvents........
But I have it set up so stock boost is run and when I flip a switch then a solinoide transfers the air to run through a ball and spring type MBC. Which btw I built as well from Home Depot stuff for about $9.00.
To be clear though I have a ball and spring type MBC on the low boost setting too but only to help inscrease boost times. The way it does this is by staying shut all the way till 8 psi is seen by the ball and spring then it opens to lets the wastegate then see that boost, instead of just having a direct line hooked up and the wastegate slowly seeing 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 then 8. This slows down boost response because even with the spring on the wastegate it does start to open a tad at around 5-6.
Anyway, I seem to be long winded today when you just write short questions. So let me get right to it.
YES, people run MBC's. I am one of them. Great boost response from it, and I can run low and high boost from a switch. THERE is your quick answer
