Default Anyone running a ProSport shift light?

I have a dual gauge pod, and an AEM serial datastream gauge that monitors, well, everything. The revs come pretty quickly with a turbo, and I want to get a bright shift light for my other hole in the a-pillar pod. It is the SoS 52mm one.

I've read that Prosport are actually more accurate than Defi gauges - any truth to this? I like the idea of the Modifry beeper (Bob's such a cool guy and comes up with the neatest mods - he's also in my local Atlanta club) but I want to go with a light as I tend to play music loudly

I can't find the dimensions of this gauge is it 52mm (2 inch)?

Also, where would you guys recommend having the light go off, 8800 rpms or so? I am a VERY quick shifter.

From what i have heard the defi gauges are pretty innaccurate. If i could find it (which i havent been able to) you can make digital gauges from radioshack that are +-5% which is right on with most other manufacturers lol. If i can find the plans for the DIY A/F gauge im sure you can mod it for any other gauge you want and just make it work with the sending unit...if you like red alarm clock digital read outs from radioshack...haha

But why a shift light?? I would just as soon listen to the motor...

How about the Modifry redline shift beeper? It not only prevents over-reving (unless you're deaf ) but also helps to judge performance lap to lap. I think my beeper may well have done more to improve my autocross times than any of the other mods.

I'm not completely opposed to the beeper, but, for one I need to fill that other hole in the SoS pod ( ), and it seems like it'd help with shifting at redline. Turbos rev REALLY REALLY FAST and before you know it, you're at 9K. If I could set it right around where my reaction time and shift speed is (maybe around 8700-8800?), I would be able to shift at 9k every time. They're very bright and visible, especially at night.

Anybody else have an opinion?

The redline shift beeper might be a good idea though, I could have it set to first beep at 7K or so so I'd know when to shortshift in 1st gear. Or, I could get a shift light that had 2 shift points.

I wonder if I'd be able to mount that ? It says it's 2 inches (52mm I believe).

Man, that's a cool looking clock. I think it would look very cool in the car.

I just might consider the beeper - thanks for the advice. As for the "over revs" I can set the rev limiter with the EMS right?
Yea, you can set your rev limit using the AEM EMS.

I still have the stock ECU, and the car hits the stock rev limiter HARD. I believe the AEM has some kind of soft limiter (but I'm not really sure).
