Default AP2 Exhaust Cam with Twin Scroll

I have read that the AP2 exhaust cam is better to have for forced induction applications, but that with certain manifolds it will actually cause a loss of power. I am getting ready to install a 3mm headgasket, headstuds, and finish the install of my AFI twin scroll kit. But since I am going to have the head off I was wondering about installing an AP2 exhaust cam to maybe get a little extra out of it. What kind of manifolds does the AP2 exhaust cam work with? Would it work out well with my application or should I just stick to the AP1 cams. Also I obviously have an AP1.

Also how hard is it to install the updated oil jet bolts? Do I have to remove the girdle or is it just removing the pan and R&R the bolts?

Chris there is only going to be one way to answer that question and unfrortunatly that will be done on the dyno.

There may be alot of opinoins but I have yet to see any back to back testing other than what I did.

I plan to test both cams on mine again but that will not help you now.

Ok I am just going to stick with my AP1 cams. Just thought I would see if anybody else had dyno'd them back to back on different manifolds.

I'm debating on buying an AP2 exhaust cam from Honda to test the differences out on my sidewinder manifold like Scott did. Haven't decided yet.

Whichever cam has more duration and overlap will perform better on a good flowing twin scroll

I am not sure of the duration or overlap but I will try to find out.
Here are the numbers from BrianCrower.com:

Adv. Dur. Dur. @ .050 Lift(in.) Lift(mm)
Stock F20C: 300/298 226/222 .498"/.459" 12.65/11.66
Stock F22C: 296/296 224/222 .487"/.475" 12.37/12.06

I am not sure which is which or how exactly to read this.

I will have both of my cams with me on Friday and hopfully get both tested. Even if the AP2 out performs the AP1 we can test it on yours.
