Default ATI vs FLUIDAMPR

Hey guys. I know a lot of you have been back and forth on the fluidampr post talking about some pros and cons. The more I read the more I am back and forth.

Many on that post to say that fluidampr is superior, and many posts elsewhere online say that ati is superior. Obviously if you're a vendor you're going to push your product.

Here is a page on the ati damper from Laskey. http://www.laskeyracing.com/shop/harmonics.htm
They have a comparison to the fluidampr.

I originally wanted the fluidampr, but now I am undecided.

Insights ?

I have also heard of cars coming apart after switching to a fluidampr. No s2000s but from other forums.

It's confusing cause this forum made me want the fluidampr

When I was doing my research I was told that ATI did not design their damper specific for the s2k. They changed the snout of a K series damper and made/marketed it as a s2k damper. I had a lot of discussions with URGE and Fluidampr directly with test data on a s2k specifically. They did do their homework and due diligence. If you're heart-set on buying a damper, get the Fluidampr.

I've used both...bearings always look great when inspecting/freshening up the motor in the winter. Either is an advantage over oem. I believe they have similar price tags as well.

How do you feel about the Laskey link I sent. Possible bias data ?

So no bearing issues at all ? Hmph this could be a hard choice then :|

I´ve been in the same spot but decided to go OEM this time, seen a lot of high hp guys using OEM and can´t find enough reasons to spend the extra cash right now.

I mean, if the OEM one can keep the bearings fresh for 100.000 miles and more on a really well designed 9000rpm engine I´m sure it will do a good job on a low mile weekend racer for a while.
