I ran a fuse, I just got a 100 AMP since that is the size of the main batt fuse in the stock fuse box. I kept both of them though. I do not have any expereience in regard to SCCA but to connect my wires together I just used one of those stereo inline fuse holders and connected the old power wire with the extended wire using the 100 amp fuse in the middle.

u def should check on the rules. when the battery is in the trunk there are a few things you have to worry about.

1. box for battery that is approved.

2. quick disconnect switch that they can get to in the event you crash.

my turbo hatch had the battery in the back, and they freaked out until i put those things in. but that was to drag race. not sure how it works for scca.

A hatch and trunk have different regs, I know that at least when I was running my Vette, TA and Camaro's they were very anal about everything.

Yes Advanced Auto Parts. I just bought one for my install after relocating the fuse box but leaving the battery in the same place. Funny thing is when I hooked up the battery to the circuit breaker instead of to the 100A fuse in the fuse box, nothing in the car would work. No lights...no nothing. Turns out that the fuse box is also a distribution block for all of the accessories in the car. If you don't run power to the main battery fuse in the fuse box (that I would assume you're bypassing with the 100A circuit breaker) then you get no power to that entire box...so no lights, computer, ignition, etc. I found out the hard way and until I figured it out I thought I wired the fuse box wrong when I extended the wires That would've been bad...

I knew I had seen them somewhere, I was a manager at an Advance in College right after it switched for Western Auto and Parts America.

You can find them here, but I don't recommend these as there's nothing to protect the terminals to avoid a spark or whatever. Try something like this rather:

For mine i used a power distribution box i got at the local stereo place. Has 1 input, 2 outputs. Have my fuse box line, and other positive cable in, and a big wire on the input heading to the back of the car. Very easy, mounted it on the fire wall and looks clean as well.
