You can get a battery wrap kit from summit, they work pretty well. My first buddy club battery actually started to melt to the point that it almost exploded!
I wrapped my next battery with the reflective wrap and it held up fine after that.
This is the stuff that I'm talking about...

Best things to do....
1)Get a Dry Cell battery.
2)Get a heat blanket for the battery, although IMHO you don't need it. After getting my turbo nice and hot, my battery plastic was nowhere NEAR melting point, and that was the hottest the turbo is gonna get.
I highly recommend #1 though....for any turbo car with the battery still under the hood.

use aluminum foil, use heat wrap...use anything.
I've done both
They both work, Battery in trunk FTW.
Get this battery so you have so much room it won't matter

15.4 lbs instead of double that like a reg. battery

what do you guys use to wrap your a/c lines to protect it from heat?
My first heat shield was improperly cut and mounted so it cracked around the mounting points, so I bought a brand new heat shield, had it cut and mounted properly and I have no heat issues.
thanks for the help guys unfortunatly I don't have the Greddy kit, I am using the inline pro kit and they didn't have any thermal wrap. I may try foil paper for the lines and try something else for the battery and fuse box.
