.7, wow. I usually test drive route is 2 miles. I would question if he actually fixed it and tested to see if he did afterwards with only .7 clocked.

I had a tire tech back my car off the rack and drive straight out of the parking lot to take it for a test drive. I asked his manager "what the **** is he doing?" All I got back was uh..uh..uh . I've got a piece of paper that says the alignment is good, he doesn't need to drive it. That's the only time I've seen that happen on my car.

Every time I take my car to the guy that aligns it, he test drives it around the block to make sure it's all straight.

Giving you the car back right after the alignment isn't good. The print out may show green but after the suspension settles from being aligned it may not be straight anymore. I work at a Lexus dealer and this is especially true on cars with electronic assisted power steering or VGRS (Variable Gear Ratio Steering). The paper could show your in spec, but once you drive, the steering wheel maybe off a few degrees.
