Default Blew it up now its time to make it stronger

So i came to a stop after getting off the highway and noticed some faint smoke coming from the front of the car. So when i get home, i pop the the hood and i have white smoke coming from the valve cover breather. I decided to to a leakdown and found the following:

#1: 25%
#2: 48%
#3: 50%
#4: 30%

I found that the stock headgasket had blown between 2 and 3 and 1 and 4 were leaking in to the crank case (im assuming 2 and 3 are leaking into the crankcase too). Tomorrow ill take off the head and inspect the HG and cylinder walls. with as much leakage i have into the crank case, ill probly end up tearing it down and rebuilding it. assuming my cyl walls are fine ill probly go with the molly gold series pistons and new rods. as well as freshening up everything else while it is apart. ill have pics tomorrow

what are your thoughts?

thanks guys.

If its leaking past just the bridges on the headgasket you should be alright with just throwing in a new HG. I've had my f22 boosted with over 400hp for 3 years. Last season put a 3mm IP headgasket in. Blew it to similar failure numbers like yours (compression was down and leak down wouldnt even hold in cyl 1,2,3)

Threw another HG in (not 3mm) and my car has great compression and leakdown checks out fine.

Hopefully yours is a similar case

how huge a turbo do you have to have 400whp @ 9psi? Im going to jump on the boat with Omalley.... If the cylinders and pistons look fine and its just the HG, just get an oem HG and be done with it. That is of course unless you are wanting to build, have the money to build, and this is just a good excuse... then go for it!

Light scratching shouldn't affect performance as long as it isn't too deep. General rule of thumb is if you can catch it with your fingernail it's deep enough to affect performance.

Many of us on here are still making great numbers with lightly scratched cyl walls.

I can catch a nail on it so I'm having inline pro bore and home the block and I'll use the frm compatible pistons. I would have pics up but im on my phone. What rods should I use ?
