yea, but i noticed that the stock bypass valve spring is 7/8psi so it doesn't open unless you really hit boost. you can literally feel the car become sluggish/slow if you let off throttle and the bov doesn't open up at all. i had to get a greddy flange for the vortech aftercooler and it bolted right on. i have a 2psi spring in the tial 50mm. size of the bov shouldn't matter. just make sure to get the correct spring for the bov.

Get the Turbo Xs Dual port. It fits well and has the option to VTA or recirc. Just change the spring out for the softer spring.
The 25mm dual port Turbo smart does the same thing but requires no spring change. Might just come down to which option is cheapest.

i use the Turbo XS one and i changed out the spring. maybe it wasnt required... i recirc mine though... i hate the hair dryer sound all the time

Ahh i know now what "hairdryer" sound your referring to. I originally unplugged the recirc. hose on the stock bypass valve thinking i could just run it like but there was massive amounts of air shooting out during idle and it didn't seem right which is why I got the HKSSQV BOV instead and now it seems like it isn't compatible. I guess essentially I could just run the stock Bosch bypass valve VTA?

You could but if it's the plastic Bosch valve, I'd upgrade. I have a billet KW 25mm bypass valve I could sell if interested.

Hi Memo! I was curious to what spring color you converted to. I recently have purchased a Turbosmart Kompact BOV (Running a KW sc kit as well) and noticed that at idle and softest setting, the piston is only half-way open. Do you think that's ok or should it be wide open? I'm playing it safe and purchased a blue spring to swap out. Crossing my fingers that the spring isn't TOO soft. lol.

I also noticed that I'm getting a slight flutter when I let off at higher rpm ranges. Did you have any instances of flutter with your new BOV setup? Thanks in advance brotha!

post or send me a picture of the orientation of the BOV. Ive seen them installed incorrectly. Also, the springs it comes with is pink and i got green. or visa versa... i forget as i just sold the bov to a guy in another state. Basically its the spring from the plumb back bov as opposed to the dual port spring. I got the spring from Amazon based on what the tech from TurboSmart suggested.

I will post a picture as soon as I can. I believe that I have it installed correctly (Horn was removed and replaced with block off plate. Boost end was attached to piping and exhaust end plumbed VTA. For some reason, I wasn't able to remove the exhaust end connector to block it and leave the horn side open to VTA.

I did confirm through extensive browsing that the plumb backs do come with a lighter spring (green), as opposed to the dual port (pink). Since I am running VTA, I should have just purchased a plumb back bov as opposed to a dual port. I went ahead and cancelled my blue spring order and will be purchasing a green spring.

U seem to be the guy I need to speak to. What GReddy BOV did you swop the Vortech BOV out with? I read elsewhere that apparently GReddy and HKS BOV's cannot remain open when not under WOT which is what the Vortech one does. Apparently that's not safe for the charger. Any thoughts on that? I want to swop it out for an HKS or Greddy just to get a different sound.

Do you have a V2 or V3 supercharger? I've got a V2 and it came with the Maxflow Race BOV. Sounds good and there's absolutely no flutter on decel however, I am also interested in a different sound but am not sure if I should change it out in light of all these incompatibility issues...

Well since this topic is still kind of going still may I join? A little background info, I have an 06 with a sos novi 1200 kit 3.4" pully but the catch is I'm still waiting on sos to get more blowers from Paxton before they can ship me my kit, so in all reality I have zero experience with a supercharged s2k. Prior to s2k ownership I did the German car thing. Anyway from my turbo experience with the German cars I found the APR r1 diverter valve to be a very nice piece if you want a recirculating set up. It's a slightly different valve too because it uses a diaphram. However it isn't really well suited for applications under 15psi, because I don't even have my kit yet I don't even know how much boost I'm making or will but I'm projecting 13-16psi. A link to the valve if anyone is interested https://www.goapr.com/products/r1.html

It is also a direct replacement for the Bosch valve in the vw Audi Porsche community. This Bosch valve is the same fount in the 1.8t which in my case I have experience running this valve on a 1.8t and noticed a huge difference and it had a great sound as well.
